Anything For Now.

So like on Saturday I went to go see Apostle of Hustle and Do Make Say Think at the Mezzanine in the city. I had no one to go with, bumming out on going by myself. I called up Chubbz who I texted the day before but he never got the message. He said he was down to go. So I picked him up after chillin' at Vicki & Meesha's crib and headed down there. The neighborhood was SOMA and extremely sketchy so I had to park like 3 blocks away and crutch my way to the venue. There were only two people in line. The girl sitting in line next to us was hella weird. She wanted us to throw down some snow for a 6 pack but I refused due to driving. Plus I had already loafed it up before I got there which I shouldn't have done. We got in and had a few beers and just waited for the Apostle to come out.

The show started at 10, at least it was only 2 bands playing. So they came out and played. It was sick, they played Kings & Queens and Folkloric Feel. Andrew had on some shirt with Jesus getting socked in the face. I thought it was funny. He also blindfolded himself during the set and jumped off a box, knocking down the mic. The look on the drummer's face was priceless. They did a really good job. Last time I saw them was at Amoeba and they played a short set. It was cool to see them play and see Andrew chug on some wine haha.

Then Do Make Say Think came out. Oh shit I was stoked to see them again. All the songs they played were sick. They played both songs that they sing in, which was sick cuz last time they only played one. I got to sneak a peek at the setlist but those niggas wrote the wrong songs. I was expecting to hear Minmin and they didn't play it. I almost cried. Charles was rippin' on the bass, he's so fucking good. Chubbz and I stood in front of Justin and Julie and they were rockin' out like shit! They played Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! and I almost died. I think that makes up for them not playing Minmin. When they ended their set they came back and played another 3 song set. It was pretty awesome. They ended the show at approximately 1:08AM according to fat boy. Here's some pics from the night.

Broke Your Glasses But It Broke The Ice.

Powered by AOL Video

Broke account so I broke a sweat
I've bought some things that I sort of regret about now
Broke your glasses, but it broke the ice
You said that I was an asshole and I paid the price
Broken hearts want broken necks
I've done some things that I want to forget but I can't
Broke my pace and ran out of time
Sometimes I'm so full of shit that it should be a crime
Broke a promise cause my car broke down
Such a classic excuse it should be bronze by now
Broke up, and I'm relieved somehow
It's the end of the discussions that just go round and round
And round, and round, and round, and round,
And round, and round it shouldn't have been anyway
No way, no way, no way, that's right
Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, uh no
Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, uh no
It was like everything was evidence of broken (time?)
You're living on fancy wine
You'll drink that turpentine
You're starting conversations
You don't even know the topic

Basically my life, heh. No money, no job and all that shit. Well at least "you still got your words and you got your friends" and I got to see them play this song live FINALLY after 3 times. And I just found this video online after searching long and hard for this. I'm happy.

Reitschule.

Yesterday Young Eddy, Richard Kelly and I went to Davis for a party. The ride there was pretty chill, just smoking blunts and shit. When we got there, we smoked again and went to Sonic to get some grub. It was pretty good. Then we went back to the dude's house. It was crazy. About 10 Asian dudes in the place, each with a video game in HAND, including but not limited to Nintendo DS, PSP, Gamecube and others. Nerd fest can you say? So we just chilled in the kitchen. Then we got bored and went with Paolo to the UC Davis campus. It was kinda chill. Everyone in the city rides bikes though, its crazy. Weather was good too. So after that we just came back smoked another blunt and left. Paolo asked Richard Kelly if he wanted to go swimming. He said no, because there's all guys there and the pool is gonna be "sausage water" and he didn't want any of that. I started dying. Anyways, it was mellow except the nerdiness. The way to/from Davis was weird at points because I started to tense up and shit around Fairfield and Vacaville, yet I couldn't spot where the accident was. We ended up getting home at around 9:30. Good trip. It was nice to be out of SF or SSF for that matter for a while.

Do Make Say Think is playing in November and I'm pretty excited. I haven't seen them since March and I'm ready to see them again. It's gonna be at a 21+ place so that might be pretty sweet. Oh well, check this out.

Boredumb.

Life is boring. I pretty much just chill at home and play video games. It sucks. People visit and I go out, and that's cool, until my foot starts to hurt and I become a slob. Oh well, heh.

I finally figured out the problem I've been having with this. Everytime I try to log in, it would say invalid password or whatever and I always have to reset my password in order to post, which is why I barely post, but now I got it! It says enter E-MAIL and idiot me kept putting the account name... STUPID!

Yesterday I went to the Margate comp. It was run by the South City and Daly City locals. I showed up with Richard Kelly and Margate was packed. We came a little late but had enough time to watch the last sesh. Randy and some dude were going down the planter. But the locals didn't like random dude and his crew so they all threw a fit. It was crazy but I've never seen skater kids try to kick people out of a spot. Good thing I'm cool with them.

Come Back Put On Hold (Again).

So yesterday we decided to go filming for our fourth video "Come Back" and went to BART to warm up. I picked up CK and met up with Rodney at BART. Hen showed up soon afterwards and took pics for us.

BART crew: Rodney, Carlos, CK.

So we skated BART for a while, trying to film and stuff. Waiting for Gordon Lee AKA Wootnik. It was cool because I got to skate a 5 for the first time in a while. I skated it regularly with not much of any problems. Got a few tricks down but nothing worth filming.

Kickflip down the 5.

We waited for Wootnik to come but he hella lagged so we decided to just drive over to SF and skate Jefferson Elementary and film some more at the 10 stair. There was a lot of traffic and assholes that can't drive but we finally got there. The stair set was hella small so I just decided to go for it.

10 Stair Ollie.

I tried to ollie it a few times and kept bailing out. I finally stomped one down the stairs and the impact sent me straight to the floor, slamming on my shoulder. I got back up and decided to try it again.

Pain.

I went for the ollie and when I landed my foot slipped off and I tweaked my ankle. At first I thought I just sprained it pretty bad but when I looked at my foot it was crooked. I was just screaming in pain, it hurt pretty bad. I stayed on the floor as Hen called up the ambulance. And before they came, Wootnik showed up. He pretty much showed up for nothing.

Paramedics Arrived and Cut Off My Sock.

CK had to wait on 19th Avenue for the ambulance to arrive but when they got there they had to wait for a fire truck to come and bring bolt cutters. We had hopped the fence to skate the school and they had no way of getting into the school so they had to break the lock on the fence.

Ankle of Death.

The paramedics got there pretty fast. They cut my sock off checked out my ankle and iced it up. They put me on a stretcher and took me to the ambulance. Hen and CK had to take my car since I drove. Good thing Hen has his license.

Tuff Gnarl!
The ambulance ride didn't take that long. They took me over to USCF and checked me out there. The references to that show "Scarred" were endless, pretty much everyone had to mention it. "Oh it's like that show 'Scarred' you ever see that? You could be on it!" I was over it. So I took some X-Rays and waited for the doctors to tell me what was up. They checked it out and told me that I had broken my heel bone, dislocated/fractured my ankle and broke a few smaller bones in my foot. They said they had to pop my ankle back in place so they took me over to some room to do the procedure. They had to put me to sleep and as soon as I woke back up my ankle was straight again but wrapped up in some big ass cast/bandage thing. Kelly, Hen and CK came and chilled with me for a while. The ortho doc said that I had to spend the night to see if my foot gets worse and if it did I'm gonna need surgery. So they took me up to the 14th floor and gave me a room with a nice view of the city. Kelly said she'd spend the night with me in my room. In the middle of the night, the ortho doc came and checked up on me and told me that I'm OK and that the chances of me needing surgery are super slim. I was pretty stoked. He said I could leave in the morning. So morning came and ate breakfast (which was actually pretty good for hospital food) and got all the discharge stuff ready. We had to wait for crutches to get ordered and then wait for the X-Rays. When all that was done I was wheelchaired out of the hospital and back into freedom. I don't know how long I'll be out for but this video really IS a come back...shit! So now I'm on vicodin and just chillin' at home. More updates soon...

Happy Birthday Halley.

Last night was Halley's 20th birthday party. We all gathered at her house to celebrate like she would've. There was too much crazy happenings last night including random people, random make-outs, random smoke-outs, etc. The usual.

Party Mode.

We Were Supposed To Film The Next Day.

Good night I'd have to say. It seemed like the world was there, basically the whole 40oz crew in full effect just like usual.
